How it works

One number for the whole web's movement

Every day we compare today's Google results to yesterday's across millions of keywords, measure how far every ranking moved, and roll it into a single 0–100 index — so you can tell in one glance whether the SERPs are calm or in flux.

01

Measure every keyword

For each tracked keyword, we measure how far its Google ranking moved since yesterday — the raw signal of how much the results shifted.

02

Average across the panel

We average that movement across millions of daily-tracked keywords, spanning every industry, then normalize it to a comparable 0–100 scale.

03

Read the band

Normal, High, or Very high tells you at a glance whether today's movement is routine or a likely algorithm update worth reacting to.
